Abstract
In this paper, the structural transition and magnetic anomaly in (Nd1-xErx)3Fe18Co6Cr5 compounds are studied. A novel structure has been observed in this compound with Er content x≥0.8 and it is further indexed to hexagonal symmetry by refinement. In addition, X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements show that a structural transition occurs when x exceeded 0.8. With the substitution of Er for Nd in (Nd1-xErx)3Fe18Co6Cr5 compounds, the Curie temperature also show an anomaly for x≥0.8.
