Abstract :
In recent years, energy consumption has been increasing rapidly due to the increased use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems. As one solution to this issue, 380 V dc power distribution systems have been attracting attention as high-efficiency and high-reliability power systems that can be used in telecommunications buildings and data centers. Against this background, we have been moving forward on the construction and demonstration of a container data center in Rokkasho, a village in Aomori Prefecture, the location of Japan´s largest wind farm. In this paper, I describe an intermediate step based on the field data about power quality and efficiency of energy use of this container data center using power obtained by wind-power generation in Rokkasho.
