Abstract :
A high performance planar filter using novel resonance modes by double surface electrodes is developed. The trial filter has 38% smaller size than the conventional CPW (coplanar waveguide) filter keeping the unloaded Q. This filter has a 400 MHz bandwidth at 2.42 GHz, the insertion loss is 2.58 dB and its size is 5.2/spl times/2.5/spl times/0.2 mm/sup 3/. It is applicable for ISM2.4 applications.
