Abstract
The current state in the optoelectronics education included in the more complex microelectronics curricula at Microelectronics Department of the Slovak University of Technology (STU) in Bratislava is presented. Course outline and some examples of students´ laboratories and/or individual projects present the complexity of the learning material. The traditionally high level of theoretical background combined with advanced experimental tools in the modern laboratories of the International Laser Center (ILC) in Bratislava located in the premises of the university provide a very good environment to educate electronics engineers with a complex micro-opto-electronics profile.
