Abstract :
Summary form only given. Self-starting self pumped phase conjugate (SPPC) Nd:YAG laser gain media loop resonators produce single longitudinal-mode pulses, that can correct for both phase and polarization aberrations, and demonstrate high extraction capabilities. As demonstrated in this communication, the performances of the system greatly depends on the efficiency of the intracavity four wave mixing (FWM) process, on the gain available inside the cavity, and on the output coupler reflectivity. This architecture is attractive for application to high-gain, compact diode pumped solid-state laser materials.
