Abstract
The aim of this work was to perform MSW (magnetostatic wave) ring experiments at lower frequencies where three wave processes are allowed and examine the combined effects of the four- and three-wave processes on the NL (nonlinear) response. Three entirely new phenomena have been discovered: (1) a clear dual modulational instability response that involves three- as well as four-wave processes, (2) the self-generation of quasi-single or solitary pulses in the ring, and (3) a chaotic power frequency (PF) spectrum over the entire MSW band.
