Abstract :
In this paper, a language-valued variable is introduced into fault diagnosis. By combining global criteria optimization with maximum membership method, a new model of fault diagnosis is put up based on language-valued reasoning. This method provides a resolution to the problem which can´t be resolved by numeric model.
