            Abstract :
The spatial distribution of the spin current in the non-local geometry was studied taking into account the finite size effect of the contact area by applying the finite element method in two-dimensions. Due to the finite size of the contact area, the spin-diffusion length of normal metal is underestimated relative to the nominal value.
