Abstract :
This paper presents a novel biconical broadband antenna which is used for EMC test application, compared with the conventional biconical antenna the proposed antenna is small in size and good in electrical characteristics, its voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) is less than 4 within the frequency range of 500 MHz ~ 2500 MHz. The antenna can be used to measure the shielding effect of a shielding box which can protect the electrical devices in the box from being radiated, a good example is presented to validate the uses of the antenna.
