  • Abstract
In this paper, we propose a low-cost and portable cyclic voltammetry potentiostat for the electrochemical dopamine biosensor designed with incorporation with artificial antibody (e.g. dopamine-imprinted polymers) as the sensing element. Its performance is evaluated by comparing the calibration curves of a dopamine biosensor with those obtained from very expensive commercial equipment. Experimental results show that good linearity and sensibility as well as low noise measurements are obtained. Moreover, because of the small size and low cost, the proposed potentiostat can be used directly in homecare applications in the future.
