Abstract :
The authors have presented a method for verification of the frozen permeability method. The frozen permeability method has been found to give reasonable estimation of the change in magnet flux-linkage. The accuracy of the finite element method can be increased by refining the mesh and increasing the number of elements in the magnet region. The measurement methods described are simple and accurate, and allow for variation of the magnet flux-linkage with load.
