Abstract :
This paper deals with the comparison and analysis of BLDC motor with radial and air/iron-cored polar plastic magnet, in terms of open-circuit field, back-emf, characteristics of flux density with design parameters and required magnet volume. In particular, magnetization modeling technique which is reasonable in polar coordinate system is presented to predict open-circuit field accurately and the results such as open-circuit field and back-emf are validated extensively by comparison with FE analyses.
