Abstract :
A CMOS analog front-end (AFE) circuit for portable biomedical signals acquisition system is presented in this paper. A low-power instrumentation amplifier (IA) is chosen as an AFE circuit for portable biomedical application using simplified differential difference amplifier (DDA). The presented IA is designed in standard 0.18 mum 1P6M CMOS process technology at a 1.8-V supply voltage. The simulation results have shown that the presented IA, with a core area of 0.13 mm2, achieves a common-mode rejection ratio of 150 dB at 10 Hz, power supply rejection ratio of 62 dB at 10 Hz and power consumption of 3.99 muW. The input referred noise is 5 muV/radic(Hz) at 1 Hz.
