Proposed personalized access system to digital information

This paper addresses a major issue with information systems: personalized access to information. In today´s information technology environment, which is experiencing such considerable data growth, where user roles and needs are increasingly heterogeneous, and where mobile systems develop with ever increasing rapidity, it has become important to develop a personalised system, which allows the provision of relevant and adapted information. Such a system should take into account different user needs for personalisation, as well as the contextual situations which influence their behaviour during the information access process. Therefore, a generic vision of the system is designed in order to facilitate the conception and the exploit of the main elements which compose such system.
