Abstract :
The paper introduces a filter banks interpretation of under sampling strategy, which leads to an efficient interpolation method for multi-band signals. A function, which is referred to as the interpolation function, is developed and used to obtain efficiently discrete-time systems for interpolation of generalized samples as well as a class of under sampling, to uniform Nyquist samples. Several examples and simulation results are presented, with emphasis on method of reconstruction that are suitable for systems up to 12 bit.
