Abstract
An analytical approach to the study of spin-torque-driven magnetization dynamics in the free layer of a spin-valve structure was presented. Melnikov function was used to study the transient magnetization dynamics which lead eventually to self-oscillating regimes. The magnetization dynamics is described by Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation including Slonczewski spin-torque term.
