Abstract :
ZnS:Mn embedded PMMA nanocompositewere successfully synthesized by wet chemical method. Hexagonal structure, spherical shape and nano dimensional state (~20nm) of the particulate filled nanocomposites were confirmed by X-ray diffraction and Transmission electron microscopy. The Absorption Study shows that the blue shift in the absorption spectrum as the result of quantum confinement effect and reduced size state of material. The metal sulfur (υM.s) bonding was identified at around 422 cm-1 in MIR region of FT-IR analysis. The present study strongly proposing the polymer encapsulation controls the particle under nanoregime and it can be used for the preparation of potential nanostructured semiconducting materials.
