Support mechanisms for renewable energy and combined heat and power production in Kosovo

Kosovo is signatory of Energy Community Treaty of South East Europe (ECTSEE) and one of the obligations is implementation of the “Acquis Communautaire” on Renewable and cogeneration heat production (CHP) this implies effective and efficient policy support measures whereas especially efficiency is determined by the real generation costs of renewable energy technologies and CHP. The aim of the paper is to address support mechanisms for RES and CHP in Kosovo and give indicative renewable energy target based on the methodology within the EU Directive.
