  • Abstract
In this review article, we attempt to describe the structure of various spinel ferrites like zinc ferrite, nickel-zinc ferrite, manganese-zinc ferrite and cobalt ferrite. It also describes the important magnetic properties of these spinel ferrites. The article also focused Nanocrystalline ZnMn1-xCrxFeO4 (1.0 >; x >; 0) ferrites which were prepared by sol-gel route. The detailed results of XRD, SAED and infrared spectroscopy have been discussed so as to bring out the role of chromium substitution in determining structural properties of Zn-Mn ferrites.
