Abstract :
The SESAME prototype will be introduced during the Summer 2000 Teachers Professional Development Workshops offered by the Office of Space Science Education at the Space Science and Engineering Center. Initially SESAME will provide several pre-selected data sets that include an inquiry based learning activity for students. Level two is expected to allow teachers more freedom in selecting their own data sets and in developing lesson plans consistent with their own particular classroom curriculum needs. Follow up support will be provided for participating teachers in the form of assistance with effective software usage, standards-based curriculum development and evaluation and assessment
