Abstract :
This paper reports a wideband Clapp oscillator design using a combination of capacitor banks and a switchable inductor for frequency timing in a 0.5 μm SiGe BiCMOS technology. It is found that the performance of this wideband oscillator is adequate for HiperLAN2 and Bluetooth applications.
