Abstract
UWB radar plays an important role in the target detection and identification, and it achieves the purpose of target recognition by analyzing the echo signals. In this paper, a novel method of target detection and identification is proposed. Using this method we extract and analyze the characteristic parameters of the received signals and CIR (channel impulse responses) in the communication systems from the view of UWB communications, then apply RPROP (resilient back-propagation) to identify target. According to computer simulation, the results show that it is quite effective for target identification.
