Abstract :
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) filters for power electronic devices are strongly influenced by magnetic couplings between all components in the system. Therefore, several methods were proposed to predict these influences. Although a precise simulation can be realized utilizing the past methods, it is not practical to consider the all existing couplings especially for a development process in industry due to its high complexity and required empirical knowledge. This paper proposes a simplification method that identifies the most significant influences and reduces an investigative effort remarkably.
