Abstract :
This study concerns the preparation and characterisation of Nano hydroxyapatite which are intended to be used as a bone implant material for healing the bone fractures. Hydroxyapatite (HAP) nanoparticles were prepared using a chemical precipitation synthesis based on orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4) and calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2). The HAP nano particles are then characterized using FTIR and X-ray diffraction that confirms pure nano hydroxyapatite crystals of size 46 196 nm.
