Abstract
As the scale of cross-regional power grid increases, low frequency oscillation has become an important factor that affects safe and stable operation of power grid. Based on the damping torque analysis of power system, the effects of commonly used generator models, load models and the various operation modes on small signal stability of power grid have been studied. A law describing the changes of system damping characteristics and frequency characteristics has been obtained according to the changes of related parameters based on the simulation of four-generator two-area system under the situations that the three proposed factors change respectively.
