Abstract :
CVD grown few walled carbon nanotubes (FWCNTs) were functionalized and decorated with Pd nanoparticle. HRSEM shows that about 5 nm spherical Pd nanoparticles where attached on the walls of the FWCNT. FTIR and Raman spectroscopy shows that the functional group on the walls of the FWCNTs and their structural stability in the decoration process. Pd decorated carbon nanotubes were spin coated on interdigitated electrode to make random network among the electrodes. The room temperature sensor shows high sensitivity and also recovered completely for hydrogen gas.
