Abstract :
In light of the challenges posed by CO2 emission reduction, UPS are being targeted by energy efficiency programs. This paper discusses a model for characterizing UPS efficiency as a function of load, presenting results from sample UPS installations and exploring the impact of load characteristics on UPS efficiency. The results can be used as a reference for evaluating UPS products and technology, and can provide guidance for improving UPS installation efficiency.
