Abstract
One application of the voltage-source, matrix converter is as an asynchronous link, joining two AC power systems with different frequencies (50 Hz/60 Hz), or at the same frequency (60 Hz/60 Hz) but at different phase angles. This paper shows that for this kind of link, there exists an automatic closed-loop feedback strategy to control the real and reactive powers quickly and independently. Digital simulations are presented
