Abstract
For a higher transmission rate and a greater throughput, New Generation Ultra High Speed WLAN must introduce Cognitive Radio (CR) technology to enhance frequency spectrum utilization. To detect the channel, this paper using two spectrum sensing algorithms, energy detection and preamble detection. The former utilizes the energy in signal to detect; the latter utilizes some features of the signal in the channel to detect. This paper then tests and verifies the two algorithms, and the model uses the 8X8 MIMO-OFDM system and high order modulation, so they can be used for detecting channel in Ultra High Speed WLAN environment. From the result, this two algorithms are feasible.
