Abstract :
In this paper, a novel method is proposed for constructing irregular repeat accumulate like (IRA-like) codes with cycle optimization-constraint and modified extended quasi-cyclic (QC) structure. Analysis and simulation results show that the IRA-like codes not only achieve almost the same performance as the computer-generated random low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes, but also have much lower encoding complexity.
