  • Abstract
    Communication is an integral part of our life in which digital communication is playing a dominant role. Many difficulties are faced in communication and intersymbol interference is one of them. In this paper its possible solution "equalization" is presented. The circuit or equipment used to achieve equalization is called an equalizer. The different equalization techniques have been described in detail. From the detailed study of channel estimation techniques, Fractionally-Spaced Adaptive Equalizer has been identified as the simplest and an efficient technique for inter-symbol interference mitigation.
