Antenna Selection for Cognitive Radio Systems

The performance improvement of the MIMO system combined with antenna selection has already been studied extensively. But the emergence of new system concepts, such as cognitive radio, brings this topic into the research focus again. In this paper we set up a new model of MIMO multiuser systems, the closed-form expression of the average bit error rate (BER) and channel capacity are derived. These significant results demonstrate that the CR systems performance mainly depends on the power level of the transmitter and the distance of the primary user.
