Abstract :
The modeling, identification and control of distributed parameters systems, represent one of the important directions of theoretical and practical research, due to the large class of applications in which they can be involved[3-14, 33-37]. This paper proposes, an identification solution for a system with distributed parameters, represented by a heat exchanger with encasing, using open-loop identification techniques, based on whitening of the prediction error: Recursive Least Square(RLS), Extended Least Square (ELS), Recursive Maximum Likelihood (RML) and Generalized Least Square (GLS)[1,15,16,17,18]. By the discretization of the analytical model of the plant, the open-loop identification techniques, are tested for all the possible amplification gains and an optimal model with minimal order is chosen in order to chose a simple control solution.
