Abstract :
The development and realization of the microwave radiators, based on slow-wave structures (SWS) application, has shown that the application of slow electromagnetic waves is extremely promising in different areas of biology and medicine. This paper, based on analysis of the physical properties of slow electromagnetic waves and the lows of electrodynamics, presents the main features of SWS-based applicators and radiators which enable new applications of radiofrequency and microwave in biology and medicine.
