  • Abstract
    With the widespread application of Internet/Intranet, the interoperability and portability are the most important issues in open geographic information system so that a WebGIS based on Internet/Intranet and hybrid strategy dispatch management system is presented, and it has been the chief tendency of the development of GIS (geographical information system). High-speed Railway Fundamental Information Database System (HSRDB) is an important science and technology project of railway ministry in 2006 of China. How to display the information using GIS for high-speed railway is the research aim of this paper. Currently WebGIS is widely used in many fields, however its application in high-speed railway is relatively new. This paper proposes a four-layer structure of the GIS based on WebGIS for high-speed railway, which includes client layer, web server layer, application layer and database layer. On the basis of it, the paper discusses the system´s software architecture, achievement method and its functions. Finally, the paper also introduces the key technologies in system achievement.
