Abstract :
Recently, RFID technology is becoming the focus of the research. It can be applied into several industries including pharmaceutical. Most of RFID researchers throw their power on the benefits and investment evaluation, but none of a more comprehensive framework for RFID application exists as a reference for application in pharmaceutical Industry. In this paper, we examine open literature and industry white papers, based on the RFID application framework obtained by multi-case study done in the work before, to revise and perfect it on the side of process steps, data management, as well as critical success factor. Subsequently we analyze the pharmaceutical process based on RFID application process framework, propose RFID-based pharmaceutical process and extract critical success factors (CSF) from the perspective of technology and management. Our research is aim to provide a reference for the enterprises which intend to adopt RFID, and accelerate the pace of RFID application in pharmaceutical supply chain.
