Abstract :
A description is given of an automated wear and condition monitoring device which is to be permanently mounted on critical, intermittently operated electromechanical systems such as circuit breakers, air compressor systems, or other electrically actuated mechanisms. The monitor should both enhance the reliability of operation of critical systems and extend the intervals between routine maintenance of these systems. It should prove to be particularly valuable in applications involving critical equipment in remote or inaccessible locations
