Abstract :
This paper presents a comparative evaluation of three models that simulate the behavior of three phase induction motors (TIM) when subjected to various voltage unbalance conditions. Initially, the most commonly used models in the literature for the representation of TIM are identified. Then, several simulations are performed in order to calculate the errors between each model and the reference. Therefore, it is identified which one is the most relevant for the representation of the machine. This study is very important when it is desired, based on the use of a computer model, to evaluate the performance of the torque and the efficiency of an induction motor subjected to databases consisting of hundreds of thousands of unbalance conditions.
