Abstract :
It was with great sadness and with great loss for us in the field of dielectric materials and electric insulation that Professor Yoshio Inuishi passed away on 26 October 1994. Soon after his death,Prof. Inuishi´s personal career , brief academic achivements and contributions to our professional societies had been announced on IEEE, Electrical Insulation Magazine, (Vol. 11 No. 1, Jan./Feb. 1995). In his memory, the author would like to consider the historical development of the science and the technology in the field of dielectric materials and electrical insulation in Japan and the future problems to be solved ,based upon Prof. Inuishi´s valuable achivements.
