Abstract

The graphics design and printing of industry patterns are being widely applied in dyeing, chinaware, advertising, carpet and other industries. With the development and advancement of the technology and increasing competition, a new concurrent and integrative development method on pattern products is required to reduce the production costs and design cycle. We use the advanced agent and Web technologies to develop an agent-based CSCW environment for a pattern CAD/CAM system which supports several users concurrently in designing the same pattern, and it has been widely used in the distributed intelligent pattern printing and dyeing system and other CAD/CAM systems
