Abstract
Summary form only given. JEDEC is the engineering standardization body of the Electronics Industries Alliance, Solid State Technology Division, representing manufacturers of solid state products. JEDEC´S function is to promote the development and standardization of test methods, nomenclature and product characterization. It also provides a service whereby manufacturers of solid state products may register their products according to a type designation system maintained by the organization. The JEDEC JC-14.7 Committee on GaAs Reliability and Quality Standards is the successor ofthe JC-50 Committee on GaAs which was established in 1985 through an ad hoc group formerly known as the GaAs Reliability Advisory Council. The purpose of the committee is to address reliability, quality, and standardization issues in GaAs devices and integrated circuits. Membership is open to qualified technical representatives of companies manufacturing GaAs products for the United States market, users of GaAs products, and university and government representatives with expertise in relevant technical areas.
