Abstract :
The effects of P2O5 addition on magnetic properties of high-permeability MnZn ferrites were investigated. P2O5 addition has the effect of promoting crystalline grain growth. With 0.06wt% P2O5 added, the initial permeability reached its peak and core loss declined to the least. A small quantity of P2O5 also decreased the porosity in MnZn ferrites. With 0.04wt% P2O5 added, porosity and ηB declined to the least. More P2O5 added would lead to increase of porosity which would stunt the grain growth speed and would increase the ηB.
