Abstract
In order to determine the stability intervals or the stability independently of the free parameter T , an Algebraic method is developed for a class of distributed parameter systems whose characteristic functions contain s , sinh(sT ) and cosh( sT ). Thus, the power of algebraic approaches is completely preserved. The approach can be easily extended to distributed parameter systems of which the characteristic functions contain s sums of terms containing sinh(ksT) and cosh(msT) for integer values of k and m to some upper values
