Abstract :
The paper describes the architecture, functionalities and performance of a digital wideband receiver capable of processing up to 100 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth with high dynamic range. Different from similar equipment, this receiver performs computation-intensive processing steps in firmware on powerful FPGAs, reducing the data rates and workload for subsequent software-based processing on PC Servers.
