Abstract :
Theoretical analysis and practical test show that the traditional ground-reflected Fresnel zone calculating method has error with the actual situation. The method of calculating traditional ground-reflected Fresnel zone and the error sources are studied at the beginning of this paper, Then a new calculation method of the definition of ground-reflected Fresnel zone is derived from the definition of Huygens-Fresnel principle. The relation between the calculation results of propagation parameters and this new method are given, and compared to practical test. Result shows that the new method is more reasonable than the traditional method. The method will play a big role on guiding station distribution using in line-of-sight propagation at HF and Microwave band, the method also completes the theory of sight propagation.
