Title :
Performance evaluation of switched fibre channel I/O system using-FCP for SCSI

Abstract :
Shows how using the mixed mode protocol of FCP for SCSI it is possible to support over 2000 32Kbyte I/O operations per second and over 5600 8Kbyte I/Os per second. This provides a sustained data transfer rate of 46 to 65 Mbytes/sec using 1.0625 Gbaud FC links. The results presented here are based on simulation of FCP for SCSI on a model which incorporates real switch performance data and thus is an estimate of how this protocol would perform on the Ancor switch
