Abstract
Education is one of the most important and challenging issues for implementing and improving information technology (IT) governance. In this study, the role of the education in IT governance is emphasized and discussed with examples from standards and best practices such as IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT), ISO/IEC 27001, BSI/BS 25999 and ISO/IEC 9001.
