Abstract :
A novel zeroth-order resonator antenna based on the resonant-type metamaterial transmission line is proposed. For improvement of radiation efficiency, a koch-shaped complementary single split ring resonator is introduced to realize the resonant-type metamaterial transmission line. The equivalent circuit model is applied to analyze and design the proposed antenna. This antenna exhibits monopole-like radiation pattern at the the zeroth-order resonance frequency. Simulated results show that the proposed antenna can be great suitable for communication systems.
