Abstract :
This article presents an Error Vector Magnitude (EVM) analysis for two types operation of wideband six-port modulators, which are Quadrature Phase Shift Keying (QPSK) and Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM). The simulation results of both modulators were accomplished via Agilent´s Design Systems (ADS) software. The EVM values then were determined through calculation using the simple mathematical equation at three different frequency points of 4.2, 5.8 and 6.85 GHz. The best performance was obtained at frequency point of 5.8GHz.
