Abstract
The application of the model that connects magnetization curves to the heat exchange along the hysteresis loop for magnetocaloric materials of the class Gd-Si-Ge alloys in which phase transformation take place was discussed. The hysteresis curves showed distinct transition from paramagnetic to ferromagnetic phase as the field is increased. The model parameters were determined by assuming a Gaussian Preisach distribution.
